hp-timedate - Time/Date Utility
DESCRIPTION
Set the time and date on an HP Officejet all-in-one device using the PC time and date.
SYNOPSIS
hp-timedate [DEVICE_URI|PRINTER_NAME] [MODE] [OPTIONS]
PRINTER |DEVICE-URI
To specify a device-URI:
-d<device-uri> or --device=<device-uri>
To specify a CUPS printer:
-p<printer> or --printer=<printer>
MODE
Run in interactive mode:
-i or --interactive
OPTIONS
Set the logging level:
-l<level> or --logging=<level> <level>: none, info*, error, warn, debug (*default)
Run in debug mode:
-g (same as option: -ldebug)

I am installing a HP printer using ./hpnpcfg and I am getting the following:
Please enter selection: 5
Enter the network peripheral name or IP address: hpndlife

This may seem a basic question however I'm using lp printing for the first time, is it possible to call a pre-defined form or template (the froms could for example contain Company details & logos) dependant on the type of file being sent to the print queue (e.g by using triggers) ? (0 Replies)

We either use the Hewlett Packard HPPI too or LPADMIN command to setup out printers. Is there an LPADMIN command that will show you the default config of a particular printer.
Ideally looking to see default font, CPI settings etc.

Can anyone recommend an imaging solution for RedHat Linux that would allow base imaging with the ability to do incremental updates and encryption? I know Acronis has a version available, but it is rather pricey.

I have a RHEL 5.2 server that I need to connect a new HP Laserjet p2035n networked printer. I can not install the latest version of 'hplip' since it generates an error (missing lib....) Does anyone know where I can find a PPD file for CUPS?
