xdrawchem - open-source chemical structures editor similar to ChemDraw
SYNOPSIS
xdrawchem [INPUT-FILE] [OPTION(S)...] [OUTPUT-FILE]
DESCRIPTION
xdrawchem is a program that attempts to duplicate the functionality of ChemDraw, a molecule structure drawing application. It operates in
much the same fashion, and should be highly familiar to users of ChemDraw.
xdrawchem has file compatibility with Chemdraw and MDL files. It can also create images in popular formats like PNG and EPS.
OPTIONS
xdrawchem accepts the following options:
-png OUTPUT-FILE
Create a PNG image of an input file and exit.
-t -png OUTPUT-FILE
Create a transparent PNG image of an input file and exit.
-3d OUTPUT-FILE
Create a Make 3D model of input file and output a MDL mofile.
-h, --help
Show summary of options.
-v, --version
Show version of program.

gchempaint - 2D chemical structures editor for the GNOME2 desktop
SYNOPSIS
gchempaint [OPTIONS...] [FILE...]
DESCRIPTION
gchempaint is a 2D chemical structures editor for the GNOME2 desktop. It is a multi document application. You can read different file types
with gchempaint. E.g. chemical/x-cml, chemical/x-mdl-molfile, chemical/x-mdl-sdfile or chemical/x-pdb. But be aware, that you will maybe
loose 3D-data from these file-formats.
OPTIONS
Currently the following options are supported:
-e, --edit-residue
Open residues dialog.
-F, --full-screen
Open new windows full screen.
-M, --maximize
Open new window maximized.
-?, --help
Show application help options.
--help-all, --help-*
Print all or just a group of help options. These options are not documented here. Instead see gtk-options(7) and gnome-options(7).
-v, --version
Print gchempaint version information.

HI ,
I WANT TO RETRIVE IN BETWEEN DATA FROM PARENTHESIS AND I AM GETTING ERRORS WHILE RUN THE AWK.I HAVE 2 FILES AND WANT TO PROCESS 1ST FILE PATTERN TO 2ND FILE AND WRITES INTO OUTPUT FILE.THIS TIME I AM PUTTING WHERE EXACTLY I AM GETTING ERRORS.SO PLEASE HELP.

I'm on a Debian 9.0 GNU/Linux machine. I'm not a very experienced user, but I do my best to learn.
