Net::DNS::RR::MINFO - DNS MINFO resource record
SYNOPSIS
use Net::DNS;
$rr = new Net::DNS::RR('name MINFO rmailbx emailbx');
DESCRIPTION
Class for DNS Mailbox Information (MINFO) resource records.
METHODS
The available methods are those inherited from the base class augmented by the type-specific methods defined in this package.
Use of undocumented package features or direct access to internal data structures is discouraged and could result in program termination or
other unpredictable behaviour.
rmailbx
$rmailbx = $rr->rmailbx;
A domain name which specifies a mailbox which is responsible for the mailing list or mailbox. If this domain name names the root, the
owner of the MINFO RR is responsible for itself. Note that many existing mailing lists use a mailbox X-request to identify the maintainer
of mailing list X, e.g., Msgroup-request for Msgroup. This field provides a more general mechanism.
emailbx
$emailbx = $rr->emailbx;
A domain name which specifies a mailbox which is to receive error messages related to the mailing list or mailbox specified by the owner
of the MINFO RR (similar to the ERRORS-TO: field which has been proposed). If this domain name names the root, errors should be returned
to the sender of the message.

Net::DNS::Mailbox - DNS mailbox representation
SYNOPSIS
use Net::DNS::Mailbox;
$mailbox = new Net::DNS::Mailbox('user@example.com');
$address = $mailbox->address;
DESCRIPTION
The Net::DNS::Mailbox module implements a subclass of DNS domain name objects representing the DNS coded form of RFC822 mailbox address.
METHODS
new
$mailbox = new Net::DNS::Mailbox('John.Doe@example.com');
$mailbox = new Net::DNS::Mailbox('John Doe <j.doe@example.com>');
Creates a mailbox object which represents the DNS domain encoded form of the mail address specified by the character string argument.
The argument string consists of printable characters from the 7-bit ASCII repertoire.
address
$address = $mailbox->address;
Returns a character string corresponding to the RFC822 form of mailbox address of the domain as described in RFC1035 section 8.
The string consists of printable characters from the 7-bit ASCII repertoire.
DOMAIN NAME COMPRESSION AND CANONICALISATION
The Net::DNS::Mailbox1035 and Net::DNS::Mailbox2535 subclass packages implement RFC1035 domain name compression and RFC2535
canonicalisation.

hey what the hell happens if you make sure (as best one can) that a domain name like anything.com is not used at all, and you set up your own DNS and use that name without registering with a registrar, i know if the address is in use you will make some people very upset and give many internet users... How can someone figure out what the DNS is for an ip? Such as, if I find an ip, 201.142.133.194 or something like that, how can I track down what the domain is? Such as investigating webstats and such, who's visiting what site and all? (1 Reply)
Hello,
I have this problem:
I have a domain which worked well until my ISP changed my ip. Since then my DNS is not working, and intodns.com reports still the old IP. The DNS remains the same.
I made changes in named.conf, in ifcfg-Auto_eth0, I flushed the cache but it;s the same thing.

Hi
Please can you help on this: the Net Admins decided to use DNS to resolve names, so this is preventing mail being delivered when using commands like date | mailx -s "test" abc.xyz@asdf.xx.yy.
What we were asked was to edit /etc/resolv.confand add 3 entries, in all servers (10 Replies)
