MYSQLI_STMT_PARAM_COUNT(3)						 1						MYSQLI_STMT_PARAM_COUNT(3)

mysqli_stmt::$param_count - Returns the number of parameter for the given statement

       Object oriented style

SYNOPSIS
int$mysqli_stmt->param_count () DESCRIPTION
Procedural style int mysqli_stmt_param_count (mysqli_stmt $stmt) Returns the number of parameter markers present in the prepared statement. PARAMETERS
o $ stmt -Procedural style only: A statement identifier returned by mysqli_stmt_init(3). RETURN VALUES
Returns an integer representing the number of parameters. EXAMPLES
Example #1 Object oriented style <?php $mysqli = new mysqli("localhost", "my_user", "my_password", "world"); /* check connection */ if (mysqli_connect_errno()) { printf("Connect failed: %s ", mysqli_connect_error()); exit(); } if ($stmt = $mysqli->prepare("SELECT Name FROM Country WHERE Name=? OR Code=?")) { $marker = $stmt->param_count; printf("Statement has %d markers. ", $marker); /* close statement */ $stmt->close(); } /* close connection */ $mysqli->close(); ?> Example #2 Procedural style <?php $link = mysqli_connect("localhost", "my_user", "my_password", "world"); /* check connection */ if (mysqli_connect_errno()) { printf("Connect failed: %s ", mysqli_connect_error()); exit(); } if ($stmt = mysqli_prepare($link, "SELECT Name FROM Country WHERE Name=? OR Code=?")) { $marker = mysqli_stmt_param_count($stmt); printf("Statement has %d markers. ", $marker); /* close statement */ mysqli_stmt_close($stmt); } /* close connection */ mysqli_close($link); ?> The above examples will output: Statement has 2 markers. SEE ALSO

mysqli_stmt::data_seek - Seeks to an arbitrary row in statement result set

       Object oriented style

SYNOPSIS
void mysqli_stmt::data_seek (int $offset) DESCRIPTION
Procedural style void mysqli_stmt_data_seek (mysqli_stmt $stmt, int $offset) Seeks to an arbitrary result pointer in the statement result set. mysqli_stmt_store_result(3) must be called prior to mysqli_stmt_data_seek(3). PARAMETERS
o $ stmt -Procedural style only: A statement identifier returned by mysqli_stmt_init(3). o $offset - Must be between zero and the total number of rows minus one (0.. mysqli_stmt_num_rows(3) - 1). RETURN VALUES
No value is returned. EXAMPLES
Example #1 Object oriented style <?php /* Open a connection */ $mysqli = new mysqli("localhost", "my_user", "my_password", "world"); /* check connection */ if (mysqli_connect_errno()) { printf("Connect failed: %s ", mysqli_connect_error()); exit(); } $query = "SELECT Name, CountryCode FROM City ORDER BY Name"; if ($stmt = $mysqli->prepare($query)) { /* execute query */ $stmt->execute(); /* bind result variables */ $stmt->bind_result($name, $code); /* store result */ $stmt->store_result(); /* seek to row no. 400 */ $stmt->data_seek(399); /* fetch values */ $stmt->fetch(); printf ("City: %s Countrycode: %s ", $name, $code); /* close statement */ $stmt->close(); } /* close connection */ $mysqli->close(); ?> Example #2 Procedural style <?php /* Open a connection */ $link = mysqli_connect("localhost", "my_user", "my_password", "world"); /* check connection */ if (mysqli_connect_errno()) { printf("Connect failed: %s ", mysqli_connect_error()); exit(); } $query = "SELECT Name, CountryCode FROM City ORDER BY Name"; if ($stmt = mysqli_prepare($link, $query)) { /* execute query */ mysqli_stmt_execute($stmt); /* bind result variables */ mysqli_stmt_bind_result($stmt, $name, $code); /* store result */ mysqli_stmt_store_result($stmt); /* seek to row no. 400 */ mysqli_stmt_data_seek($stmt, 399); /* fetch values */ mysqli_stmt_fetch($stmt); printf ("City: %s Countrycode: %s ", $name, $code); /* close statement */ mysqli_stmt_close($stmt); } /* close connection */ mysqli_close($link); ?> The above examples will output: City: Benin City Countrycode: NGA SEE ALSO
