NAME
dlpsh - command shell for executing DLP commands on a Palm handheld device SYNOPSIS
dlpsh -p <port> DESCRIPTION
dlpsh allows the user to connect to a Palm handheld device and execute arbitrary Data Link Protocol (DLP) commands. Once connected, the user may execute any of the built-in DLP commands. (See BUILT-IN COMMANDS). The connection to the Pilot is kept alive by sending a PadTickle packet to the Pilot after a small period of non-activity. (7 seconds by default) BUILT-IN COMMANDS There are many options available to dlpsh, including the following. user Print the currently set User information ls Used with -l and -r to provide long and ROM file lists df display how much RAM and ROM is free on your device time, dtp Desktop-to-Palm, set the time on the Palm from the desktop rm Remove a file, delete it entirely from the Palm device quit, exit Exit the DLP Protocol Shell OPTIONS While in dlpsh, you can always invoke 'help' or 'option --help' to get further information on that option. USAGE
The program will connect to a target, and give the user a prompt for executing commands. KNOWN BUGS

install-memo - installs a new memo in a Palm Computing Device SYNOPSIS
install-memo -p <port> [-c category ] filename [filename filename ...] DESCRIPTION
install-memo allows the user to write one or more files as a new memo or memos, respectively, onto the Palm handheld device. OPTIONS -p --port <port>, Use device file port to communicate with the Palm handheld device. If this is not specified, will look for the $PILOTPORT environ- ment variable. If both are not found, will fall back to /dev/pilot. -h --help Display help synopsis for install-memo -v --version Display version of install-memo -c category Install memo(s) to category category by default. Normally install-memo uses Unfiled as the default category. -q Causes install-memo to be quiet and not prompt you to press the HotSync button. -r Replace all memos in the category specified by the -c category option. -t Use the filename as the title for the memo. (The title is the first line of a memo.) USAGE
The program will connect to the Palm handheld device, and write the file or files given on the command line into the MemoPad application on the Palm. KNOWN BUGS
The Palm Device may have a maximum length on memo sizes. REPORTING BUGS

Telnet disconnects on handheld device AIX

I have intermec handheld device which is connecting to AIX Server on port 12431 or whatever. ( oracle application ) The handheld device connects for few seconds and then disconnects from the AIX server. Once it disconnects the handheld device automatically switches off. Are there any... (2 Replies)
