FILEMAP_FAULT(9) Memory Management in Linux FILEMAP_FAULT(9)NAME
filemap_fault - read in file data for page fault handling
SYNOPSIS
int filemap_fault(struct vm_area_struct * vma, struct vm_fault * vmf);
ARGUMENTS
vma
vma in which the fault was taken
vmf
struct vm_fault containing details of the fault
DESCRIPTION
filemap_fault is invoked via the vma operations vector for a mapped memory region to read in file data during a page fault.
The goto's are kind of ugly, but this streamlines the normal case of having it in the page cache, and handles the special cases reasonably
without having a lot of duplicated code.

Hi all,
I want to create a new user and grant him ONLY transfer files access to a specific directory where he can only upload and read the files. He should be restricted to this activity only.

I've got a problem with a proxy configuration. What is the point of this? Whenever I close my shell it appends to the history file without adding this. I have never seen it overwrite my history file.

Hello for all,
I am testing the behavior of a 32 bit application running on Solaris 5.10 (SPARC), and realize it reaches 4GB of memory and then crashes.
It doesn't matter the amount of used memory as application is intended to perform many transactions; rather, what I want to achieve is to... (2 Replies)
