Hi,
I am facing problems whie trying to do a passwordless ssh to Unix box from windows. Public key was generated using F-secure. When the F-secure client attempts it connects without password but when I try to use sftp2 in command line it prompts for password.

I am trying to add secure and audit logs to logrotate for a client whom wants the logs for a period of 6 months, compressed/zipped weekly for auditing.

the default ftp that comes with AIX5L is not secured as far as i know.
How to install and use the secured FTP in AIX?
Linux these days uses vsftpd daemon(very secured FTP daemon) is there VSFTPD for AIX?
if there is any where can i download it from?

Is there any linux log file that captures invalid ftp login attempts in client side? I'm trying to come up with a script that will send an email to owners stating the number of invalid password login attempt when logging in to the ftp server.
