DESCRIPTION
Procedural style
string locale_get_display_name (string $locale, [string $in_locale])
Returns an appropriately localized display name for the input locale. If is NULL then the default locale is used.
PARAMETERS
o $locale
- The locale to return a display name for.
o $in_locale
-optional format locale
RETURN VALUES
Display name of the locale in the format appropriate for $in_locale.

The following command read a string from the keyboard & echo it back.
$ read S;echo "$S"
ABCD
ABCD
As you see, the input has space. while it echo back the spaces are removed. Is there a way to keep the input intact and not removing any spaces? Also, the number of spaces may vary.

The ouput of zz should be 43.6 BUT i am getting 42. So it means anything after the comma is not counted. Please help. (2 Replies)

I want display in a file_1 like this.
$VARIBALE
I gave in a termianl
> echo "\$VARIBALE" > file_1
Its not workning.
It was giving VARIBALE: Undefined variable.
I gave \ before $, but why it was giving undefined varible?
